Tri-Tek Electronics offers factory-backed warranty coverage, competitive pricing, and local support at our Mesa, AZ retail location.
Product Overview
The Vigitron Vi1003M is a compact, passive video transceiver designed for cost-effective transmission of analog video signals over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wires. It supports transmission distances of up to 750 feet (228 meters) when used point-to-point with another passive transceiver, and up to 3,000 feet (915 meters) when used with a Vigitron active receiver.
The Vi1003M connects via a right-angle male BNC connector and mounts directly to the video source or receiver, eliminating the need for additional cabling. This tool-free design saves time during installation and makes it ideal for use in tight spaces. It supports video formats including NTSC, PAL, and SECAM, and features built-in surge protection to safeguard connected equipment from voltage spikes.

Installation & Application
The Vi1003M is designed for quick integration into structured wiring systems. Its compact, plug-in design is ideal for surveillance installations in retail stores, office buildings, schools, and industrial environments. By mounting directly to the camera or DVR, it reduces installation complexity and improves system reliability.
Example Use Case: A security contractor needs to install four analog surveillance cameras in a commercial suite where cabling space is limited. Instead of running four separate coaxial cables, they utilize one Cat 5e cable—assigning a dedicated twisted pair to each camera for video transmission. Each camera is powered separately and locally. At the DVR, four Vi1003M units are plugged directly into the video inputs, and the corresponding twisted pairs are terminated to deliver clean, interference-free video from all four cameras. This setup minimizes cable bulk, speeds up installation, and maintains video quality over a compact and structured solution.
