UTP 12VDC Video/Power Combiner

Description

Vigitron Vi1054VP UTP 12 VDC Video/Power Combiner

Engineered for structured-cabling CCTV installations, the Vigitron Vi1054VP merges analog video and regulated 12 VDC camera power onto a single four-pair Cat-5/6 cable. By eliminating separate coax and power runs, installers save labor, reduce cable bulk, and centralize power in one secure location.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Combines video and 12 VDC power through one RJ-45 connection, simplifying cable management

  • Supports distances up to 3,000 ft (930 m) with active receiver hubs—or 750 ft (225 m) with passive hubs—ideal for campuses and parking lots

  • Integrated passive video transceiver with 60 dB crosstalk/noise immunity preserves image clarity in electrically noisy environments

  • Built-in surge protection shields cameras and head-end equipment from damaging voltage spikes

  • Carries “up-the-coax” PTZ control signals on the same UTP cable—no extra conductors required

  • Compact housing mounts directly at the camera; 9-inch pigtail feeds regulated 12 VDC output

  • Passive device—no local power supply needed, streamlining field installation and troubleshooting

  • Protected by Vigitron’s limited lifetime warranty for long-term peace of mind

Typical Installation Scenario

A multi-building office park already wired with Cat-5 for data can reuse that existing UTP to deliver both video and centralized 12 VDC power. Place a Vi1054VP at each analog camera and connect the far end to an active receiver hub in the security room; high-quality video travels well over 2,000 feet without adding new coax or local power supplies—an upgrade path that slashes labor and material costs.

Value for Installers, Hobbyists & Technicians

  • Installers finish projects faster with fewer cables and cleaner cable trays.

  • Service technicians gain easier fault isolation—no separate power line to trace.

  • DIY hobbyists achieve professional-grade cabling using readily available Cat-5/6.
