The MG Chemicals 422C-340G is a one-part, acrylic-silicone blend conformal coating designed to protect printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components from environmental hazards. Packaged in a convenient 12 oz (340 g) aerosol can, this coating cures to a durable, flexible, and smooth finish, ensuring reliable performance in various applications.

Application Instructions:

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean by removing oils, dust, and residues using Isopropyl Alcohol.
  2. Application:
    • Shake the aerosol can vigorously before use.
    • Spray a test pattern to confirm proper flow.
    • Hold the can 20–25 cm (8–10 inches) from the surface and apply a thin, even coat.
    • Allow 10 minutes for the first coat to dry before applying additional coats if necessary.
  3. Curing: The coating becomes tack-free in about 10 minutes and fully dries in 20 minutes at 65°C (149°F).

For rework or repair, the 422C-340G coating can be removed using MG Chemicals' 8309 or 8310A conformal coating removers, or it can be soldered through directly.
