These converters feature a smart built-in switch that allows fiber cable connections to operate at 1000 Mbps, compatible with 10BaseT, 100BaseTX, or a 1000BaseT network, while maintaining full compliance with 1000BaseSX or 1000BaseLX standards for the fiber optic connection. Additionally, they support full duplex mode for the fiber connection, irrespective of whether the RJ-45 port is linked to a full duplex switch or a half duplex legacy hub.
Enhancements in this series include ultra-low latency, options to force the RJ-45 port to 100Base or 10Base full or half-duplex modes, auto-negotiation on the 1000Base fiber port, forced full-duplex mode where necessary, and control over the Link Fault Signaling feature.
