The Signamax 10/100 Ethernet Extender Media Converter efficiently extends 10/100 Ethernet circuits to over 980 feet (300 meters) at high-speed, full-duplex 100 Mbps using existing straight pair copper wire. Used in pairs to extend Ethernet connectivity over existing voice-grade copper wire, the Ethernet Extender allows connectivity without pulling extra cable.
The DIP switch settings allow each unit to be set either for local operation at the near side of the circuit or remote operation when used at the other end of the circuit. They also determine either symmetrical or asymmetrical speeds and to choose standard or high-performance mode. Excellent solution on the factory floor where systems are upgraded to Ethernet networking.
